This is a self-sketch of Bela Hubbard[/b[, who was an assistant state of Michigan geologist when in 1837 he made an expedition into the Saginaw Valley, his journal recordings on his expeditions throughout Michigan were later published in a book.
His findings provide an interest insight into what the Saginaw Valley was like during the early pioneer settlement period. www.bay-journal.com/bay/1he/writings/saginawvalley-hubbard-1887.html
