The Michigan Tax Tribunal has decided on the dispute between the Dow Chemical Company and the City of Midland that dates back to 1997.
The ruling will reduce Dow's taxable property from $58 to $40 million, which inturn will reduce tax revenue collected by the city of Midland, and their future budgets.
I tend to favor any tax reduction which flows money back to the private sector and into economy.
