Consumers Energy will invest $2 billion at its Karn Weadock power plant in Hampton Township. The announcement which took place yesterday at the plant site in Hampton Township with many dignataries and news reporters in attendance. It will take about seven years to complete the process of getting state approvals and construction of
the plant. The 1,000 acre site was chosen because of it's ideal location which allows for shipments of coal by rail or water.
